In this article, we will explore the association between hypertension and diabetes, the underlying mechanisms, risk factors, and the importance of managing both conditions for optimal health. Hypertension is characterized by elevated blood pressure levels, specifically when the systolic pressure (the pressure during heartbeats) is consistently above 130 mm Hg and the diastolic pressure (the pressure between heartbeats) exceeds 80 mm Hg.
